"Capture the Flag" is a high-energy work that evokes the thrill and suspense of one of my favorite games of my childhood. In our neighborhood, we played this at night, deep in the woods.

Set in D minor, the piece is propelled by a driving rhythmic motor that suggests quick footsteps, hushed urgency, and the constant awareness of being both hunter and hunted.

The melody is passed between sections as moments of tension and release mirror the shifting balance between stealth and pursuit. In the final moments, the music breaks free into a triumphant statement of the melody in F Major, celebrating victory.
