Mercury is in retrograde for this grade 2.5 piece. Most of the themes, both melodic and rhythmic, appear forwards and backwards throughout. For example, the vla/c/b at measure 19 are rhythmically reversed from measure 9. The main descending figure appears in reverse at times (and sometimes simultaneously). These are only a couple of examples, but they are everywhere throughout the piece. The final two measures are an exact mirror of each other.
